When starting out with a web design, you tend to focus on the scope of the design more often. Well, it is of course for your intended audience. But before we get into making the design, we need to understand what the client needs and wants.

Sometimes, a client is sure about what it wants out of the design. However, there are also times that the client would trust in your own judgements.

After gathering all the needed details from the client, we then take our information to our imagination using a sketch book. Using a design software immediately will make you think about the limitations you can do with it unlike putting it down on paper would be a limitless design. Think of the software design later and you will be most appreciative of the results.

Good information flow is also important as where the eyes of the audience flow throughout the web page. Not limiting the visual aids and not over doing it as well just not to flood it and overlook the point.

Designing over a website that is going to expect a large volume of traffic also must be aware of the amount of image elements as it causes the bandwidth to grow and slow down the loading of the web page.

Color combinations is also important as it will define the uniform structure of a website and not confusing people with mismatching colors that tend to produce mixed emotions as well as criticisms.

Quality of images must not be over the top as this will cause problems when the page loads. The same goes to poor quality images that tend to give an undesirable or old feel to the website.

A lot has to be discussed about web design and these are a few basic understanding of making one.

A website can be very helpful in many ways. Primarily, a website is a medium of communication via the internet that uses multi-media to its advantage.

In a User's point of view

A website is a source of immediate information about a certain scope. As a user, I always tend to see what a website can offer to me at first, then comes the question what the website is all about and what it does. Sometimes, I directly search for a product and look for what it is all about, how much it costs, where is this available, and so on.

People also tend to bookmark their favorite sites or subscribe by email or RSS feeds. This is why it is important to place updated information on a website at all times.

This is a common flow visitors do when browsing the internet. The user benefit is all about information.

In a Web Designer's point of view

The design of a website is very important as it will give the first impression of a visitor whether the website looks very complicated to look at or very plain to their expectations. The orientation of the eyes on a webpage is important to the designer as if it was always his first time to visit the website.

Not too complicated to look at and yet not too plain to be criticized.

In a Web Developer's point of view

A website should deliver a functionable interaction to its owner and to its visitors to accomplish a communication between the two. Automation is important to a web developer, the developer will make a page as dynamic as possible just to take out all the static contents of a webpage just to make sure that a website stays updated at constant.

In a Website Owner's point of view

All of what has been said is obviously important to the website owner. But what has not been said is the owner's concern on attracting visitors and making revenue out of his website. It goes beyong the views of the User, The Designer, The Developer.

The owner is in charge of monitoring the website's activities and in return are the benefits of a website.

The website can now supply adequate information to visitors

It can express digital media such as images, audio, and video.

It is a source of communication that serves availability round the clock.

It offers automation processes of inquiries, activities, marketing, and e-commerce.

It is the cheapest form of advertising that reaches anywhere in the world.

A website creates prestige among its business entity.

It creates Value Added Service.

Many can be said about benefits of a website. It is obvious that this is just a summarization of it. Maybe you could shed some more light to this topic.

What benefits do you get out of the internet?

I ask this question to myself from time to time, and from time to time I get to see new pictures. Literally! No not literally.

We all know that the internet provides us amounts of information. It covers almost every media that we could think of. Want to learn something new? Just frisk over the internet.

Many users have been overwhelmed at the first time they have used it, but gets to enjoy as long as they go online from time to time. People are looking for answers, searching for new things, chatting with other people, playing games online, downloading files, and watching video streams.

After a while you get to think what else can I do out of the internet? Then I get to question myself how do these websites earn out of the internet?

I have been a software developer for some time and even been an IT professor but never had a chance to try out making websites.
I then began to gather new books about web design, web development, and system administration. I even purchased a web hosting for a year just get the feel of my own web space. And it felt great seeing for the first time my own application was running over the net.

This was the start of something beneficial I said to myself as I thought of the countless opportunities that the internet may offer. But let’s not get too excited since we all are not living in an absolute harmony are we? As any other business, the internet is a virtual community that we will serve to different types of people that we will get to enjoy, help, teach, learn, and serve. As well as to be secure, aware, patient, understand, and caution from others.

For a long time I have been working for different IT companies and for a long time I have been dreaming for my personal business or you may also say being self-employed. I never thought I would land into creating my own web development service.
